DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY 

day 1: ARRIVAL DAY

• Arriving at Catania-Fontanarossa Airport;
• Picking up the rental car at the rental station at the airport;
• Departure for Taormina (54km & 50min);
• Arrival and check in to the hotel in Taormina;
• Free time in Taormina;

day 2: ADVENTURE DAY

• Morning breakfast;
• Pick-up from the hotel in Jeep 4×4 heading Mt. Etna (55km & 1h);
• Full day Mt.Etna tour excursion with the guide aboard the Jeep 4×4;
• Light lunch in one of the wine cellars on the slopes of Mount Etna and wine tasting;
• Heading back to Taormina;
• Arrival in the hotel and free time in Taormina.

day 3: THE GODFATHER’S FILM TOUR AND TAORMINA IN MOTO APE

• Morning breakfast;
• Meeting the tour guide at the hotel and departure towards the Godfather’s filming locations;
• Afternoon Taormina sunset romantic tour aboard Moto Ape Calessino.

day 4: DISCOVERING CATANIA!

• After morning breakfast, check-out from the hotel and departure towards Catania (54km & 50min);
• Arrival to Catania and meeting with the guide in front of the Cathedral of Catania;
• Walking tour of Catania with an authorized guide and visit of the famous fish market;
• Free time for a typical lunch in a small restaurant suggested by us;
• Departure towards Syracuse (68km & 52min);
• Arrival and check in to the hotel in Syracuse (Siracusa-Ortigia);
• Free time in Syracuse (Ortigia)

day 5: A PERFECT DAY IN SYRACUSE!

• Morning breakfast;
• Walking tour of Ortygia (Ortigia) with an authorized guide and visit to the Archeological park of Neapolis;
• Afternoon free time in Syracuse, Ortigia;

day 6: NOTO, HERE WE GO!

• Morning breakfast;
• Shopping time in Syracuse;
• After lunch departure towards Noto (38km&35min);
• Meeting the tour guide in Noto for the wonderful walking tour;
• Free time to taste the Sicilian delicacies at the famous Caffè in Noto;
• Departure for Marzamemi – Free time in Marzamemi (23km & 30min);
• Return to the hotel in Syracuse (Ortigia) (55km & 55min);

day 7: ENJOY WINE TASTING!

• Morning breakfast;
• Check-out from the hotel and departure towards Ragusa (88km&1h30min) (1 stop on the way);
• Famous Winery: Wine tasting with typical local products;
• Departure towards Ragusa;
• Arrival and check in to the hotel in Ragusa;
• Afternoon walking tour with an authorized guide of Ragusa Ibla (Old City);

day 8: IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF INSPECTOR MONTALBANO!

• Morning breakfast;
• Departure towards Modica (16km & 23min);
• Arrival in Modica and visit of the historic center with an authorized guide;
• Short stop for the chocolate tasting!
• Departure «In the footsteps of Montalbano» towards Scicli (10km & 15min) and then visit of the small city where’s situated the Montalbano’s house in the fiction!
• Heading back the hotel in Ragusa and free time in the evening;

day 9: ENJOYING THE COUNTRYSIDE & WINE!

• Morning breakfast;
• Departure for the Vittoria area where the Cerasuolo DOCG is famous.
• Wine tasting in the local winery accompanied by small tastings of local products such as modicane scacce, arancini or other.
• Shopping & free time in Ragusa;

day 10: MOSAIC DAY!

• Morning breakfast;
• Check-out from the hotel and departure for Caltagirone (60km & 55min);
• Caltagirone – short stop to take a walk in the historic center, admire the dominant
  stairway and to buy the artistic ceramic products;
• Heading Piazza Armerina (30km & 40min);
• Arrival at the Villa Romana del Casale (Piazza Armerina) – a real kingdom of fabulous mosaics – meeting the authorized guide for the guided visit;
• Departure for Favara (Agrigento) (95km & 1h30min) and check in to the hotel in Favara;

day 11: HER MAJESTY, THE VALLEY OF THE TEMPLES!

• Morning breakfast;
• Check-out from the hotel and departure towards Agrigento – Valley of the Temples (10km & 20min);
• Meeting with the authorized guide and visit to the Valley of the Temples;
• After the visit to the Valley of the Temples, a short stop at the Belvedere della Scala dei Turchi – a fascinating white rock that rises above the crystalline blue sea.
• Heading Menfi (89km & 1h30min);
• Arrival in Menfi at the hotel and check-in;

day 12: CHEESE AND FISH!

• Morning breakfast;
• After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, departure for Contessa Entellina (30km & 35min);
• Contessa Entellina – rural experience in the cheese factory;
• Departure towards Marsala (81km & 1h20min);
• Along the way we recommend a short stop in Mazzara del Vallo (70km & 1h10min) – it has the largest fleet of fishing boats in Italy and to taste the cous-cous;
• Arrival in Marsala and check in to the hotel;

day 13: FROM THE ISLAND TO THE ISLAND! MOZIA TODAY!

• Morning breakfast;
• Meeting the tour guide at the hotel and departure towards the Pier for the Mothia’s island(9km & 16min);
• Lunch at the island in a local “Caffè ” to have a snack with the typical “pane cunzatu” and a glass of local wine;
• Afternoon visit of the Erice (45km & 50min) and free time to discover its beautiful medieval streets;

day 14: MUST SEE: SEGESTA!

• Morning breakfast;
• Check-out from the hotel and departure for Palermo (127km & 1h45min):
• Along the way we suggest 2 stops: first stop for “Cannoli tasting” and second stop: Segesta;
• Segesta – Free time to visit the Archaeological Park of Segesta – here in addition to admiring the splendid Doric temple, you can visit the ancient amphitheater.
• Arrival in Palermo to the hotel and check-in;

day 15: I LOVE PALERMO!

• Morning breakfast;
• After breakfast, meeting the tour guide at the hotel and walking tour of Palermo;
• After lunch departure towards Monreale (12km & 25min);
• Monreale: free time in Monreale!
• Heading back to Palermo;

day 16: LAST DAY!

• Morning breakfast;
• After breakfast – meeting with the guide at the hotel and walking tour in the footsteps of the Baroque Epoque of Palermo.
• Shipping and free time in Palermo.

day 17: DEPARTURE!

• After breakfast check-out from the hotel and departure for Palermo Airport (35km & 40min);
• At the airport – rental car drop-off.
